My
Background
As a parent of children who went through CCP, I found that I loved the magical world of a play-based and engaging preschool that was created by teachers at CCP.
I strongly believe that it is my job to create an environment that provides children with the first-hand experience of making “first discoveries” of their own. This allows them to “learn by doing” and I look forward to providing that for your children.
I went to Oregon State University and received my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with an option of Early Childhood Education. I then earned my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Pacific University. I taught second grade both full time and part time while my family lived in Beaverton. I have taught at our wonderful preschool for 7 yearsand have loved every minute of it!
Staying home to raise my children and care for toddlers provided opportunities for me to strengthen my knowledge in how to offer experiences of sensory play, discovery, letter and number recognition, fine and gross motor practice that are fun and hands-on.
Children need hands-on opportunities to get messy, work together, explore, discover and be curious. CCP is the perfect place for that!
FAMILY
I have 3 children and 2 of them attended CCP. My youngest daughter is a Junior at CHS. My son is a Sophomore at Montana State University and my oldest is gradating from Orgon State University this fall. My husband Sam was the principal at Carus Elementary, and now Baker Prairie School in the Canby School District.
HOBBIES
I love supporting my kids in their interests. I enjoy cheering on my youngest through her FFA and OHSET endeavors and supporting my older two as they experience college life. I also enjoy playing games, pickle ball, and spending time with family.
