Other ideas:

  1. Playdough: Incorporate some natural elements into your playdough such as rocks, sticks, and feathers.

  2. If your child is awake when it is dark outside, you could go outside on a Nocturnal Hunt. Take a flashlight and a jacket. What do you see and hear at night? Did you see any nocturnal animals or insects? Can you draw and journal about your experience?

  3. Parents can dictate a story that their child makes up about what happens at night and kids can draw a picture to go with it.
