May 11-15: Life Cycle of the Butterfly

Hello Families,

I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather while celebrating the wonderful Moms, Grandmas and women in your life.

This week we are studying the life cycle of the butterfly.

I will read Caterpillars on the Move! I like this book because it takes place in a classroom! This could be us! See it on our YouTube playlist along with the books and songs below.

• Toilet paper butterfly

Science:

• Use a paper plate and the diagram in the pdf to show the life cycle of the butterfly.
  

• Straw painting butterfly symmetry (I love showing symmetry.) Paint brushes could be used instead of straws.
  

• Take a nature walk. You can use the check off sheet I’ve included in the attached pdf.
  

• Life cycle board game is included in the pdf. It is great for science, and also math.
